Overnight: Cairo Hotel

After a wonderful breakfast and check-out, you will depart for your private Egyptologist guide and start your Cairo and Nile Cruise tour by visiting the only existing wonder of the ancient world, which is the Giza Pyramids Complex. With a life span of more than 4,000 years, this wonder has been standing as a guardian of ancient history and consists of three main pyramids, six smaller ones, and the legendary Sphinx. Your first visit at this complex will be at the Great Pyramid of King Khufu, which was an engineering marvel that was the world's tallest structure for 3,800 years and was constructed more than 4,500 years ago using 2.3 million limestone pieces.

The journey proceeds to the Great Sphinx, a statue of unexampled size chiseled from a natural monolith of limestone. This monument of the combination of strength and intelligence with the features of a lion and the head of King Khafre is 73 meters long and 19 meters high. Then follows the Valley Temple, the holy of holies where the "Mummification Process" took place during the Old Kingdom period. This well-conserved temple made of limestone and granite gives valuable information on the burial rituals of the ancients and was home to the magnificent diorite statues of King Khafre. The story of your day now moves on to the future at the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), a miraculous museum sprawling over an area of 490,000 square meters. Strategically positioned in perfect harmony with the Giza Pyramids, the GEM seamlessly merges the rich past with state-of-the-art technology, taking you through an immersive journey through 5,000 years of Egyptian history. At this destination, you will be awestruck by the discovery of the world’s first Hanging Obelisk, the magnificent 11-meter colossus of Ramses II, and the legendary entirety of King Tutankhamun’s treasures.

Lunch Time Move to have your lunch at a local restaurant in Cairo and continue your trip by a visit to the Egyptian Museum.

Finally, you will wrap up your day in the very center of downtown Cairo at The Egyptian Museum, which is one of the oldest museums of archaeology in the world. Established in 1901, this golden monument presents a magical spectrum of antiquities from the Predynastic Period through to the Graeco-Roman Period, marking the culmination of your day in Cairo before you get ready for your flight to the south.

Evening time, Transfer to Cairo airport to catch your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, check in 5* deluxe Nile cruise and overnight on board of the cruise.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Flight: From Cairo to Aswan

Overnight: Onboard the Cruise

Starting your morning with a delectable breakfast onboard your luxury cruise, you will proceed with your journey by discovering the most iconic attractions of Aswan. Your tour starts from The High Dam, which was built between 1960 and 1970 during the time of Egyptian President Gamal Abdel-Nasser. The purpose of this magnificent dam was to give Egypt a better mechanism to deal with the flooding of the Nile River and to produce hydroelectric power, which gave birth to Lake Nasser, the largest man-made lake in the world.

The history of Aswan’s ancient heritage continues at the Unfinished Obelisk, an original monument commissioned by the great Queen Hatshepsut herself. Designed to "Pierce the Sky," with a final height of 42 meters and a massive weight of 1,200 tons of granite, it was to be erected at the entrance of the Temple of Karnak. But with the development of a fault line while it was being carved, it was forever stuck to the rock face, giving us today a glimpse into the ancient methods of cutting granite.

Your day ends with a boat trip to the magical Philae Temple, the fabled home of Isis, the Goddess of Love and Beauty. The temple's walls dramatically recount the “Myth of Osiris,” an eternal tale of betrayal and rebirth and the final triumph of Horus over his brother Seth. It is even more astonishing to note that this whole temple was moved in the 1960s to Agilkia Island as part of a historic UNESCO salvage operation in the face of the construction of the High Dam. Following the spiritual exposure at the temple of Philae, you shall return to your boat for lunch. As the day wears on, the boat shall start its journey to Kom Ombo while enjoying dinner and watching the sunset over the Nile River while overnighting en route.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Overnight: Onboard the Cruise

The fourth day of your trip will begin with a wonderful breakfast on the ship, followed by the exploration of the unique temple of Kom Ombo. This temple, known as the Hill of Gold, dates back to the Greco-Roman period, during the Ptolemaic dynasty, when it was built in 205 BC - 180 BC. This temple is world-famous because of its unique double structure, consisting of two perfectly symmetrical halves, each of them devoted to two separate gods: the crocodile god Sobek, the god of fertility, who is the world's creator, as well as the sky god Horus the Elder, who is the falcon god.

The journey continues as you travel to the city of Edfu to visit the magnificent temple of Edfu, one of the most preserved temples throughout the entire nation of Egypt. Constructed during the Ptolemaic period between 237 BC and 57 BC, this temple functioned as the primary place of worship for the god of the sky known as Horus. According to legend, this temple was built on the same ground where the legendary battle between the god Horus and the god of chaos Set occurred. This temple was long buried under the sand for many centuries until it was discovered again by the French Egyptologist Auguste Mariette in 1860.

After the discovery of these wonders, you shall return to the cruise ship to resume your tranquil sailing to the city of Luxor. As the ship moves northward, you shall have lunch and dinner while taking in the endless view of the Nile River banks. You shall arrive in the fabled city of Luxor in the evening, where you shall spend the night on board, preparing for the wonders of the East and West Banks the next day.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Overnight: Onboard the Cruise

After your final breakfast on the ship, you will be accompanied by your personal guide as well as a personal A/C vehicle for a visit to the famous sights of Luxor. Your first visit will be at the Valley of the Kings, the final eternal abode of the greatest pharaohs of the New Kingdom (1570-1070 BC). This UNESCO World Heritage Site boasts 63 tombs of pharaohs, including Ramses the Great as well as the famous Boy King Tutankhamun, adorned with mesmerizing paintings and riches which have amazed the world for centuries.

The discoveries in the West Bank are not over yet at the Hatshepsut Temple, also famously referred to as Djeser-Djeseru, which means 'The Holy of Holies.' Dating back to 1479 BC, this architectural wonder is a testament to the genius of Queen Hatshepsut, one of Egypt's greatest rulers. Moving on, you'll find yourself in the presence of the Colossi of Memnon, the giant guardians of the city. These 18-meter quartzite statues of Amenhotep III were legendary in their time for the 'Vocal Memnon' experience, where the sound of the wind moving between the stones at dawn was believed to create an enchanting melody.

To give your day a bit of serenity, you will take a scenic boat ride along the Nile to enjoy lunch on a beautiful island. Your final destination will be the Karnak Temple Complex, the greatest religious man-made structure on the planet. This complex was known as "The Most Selected of Places" because of the fact that it was the spiritual center of Egypt for 1,500 years. This complex was mainly dedicated to the worship of the Theban Triad of deities: Amun-Ra, Mut, and Khonsu. Your final activity will see you transferred to Luxor Airport for your return journey to Cairo for your final overnight stay.
