Overnight: Cairo Hotel

First of all, in the morning, enjoy your breakfast at the hotel, then check out and meet your private Egyptologist guide to begin exploring the most famous sights of Cairo.

Your tour starts with a visit to the Pyramids of Giza, the greatest archaeological wonder on the planet. The plateau on which the pyramids stand was constructed by the immortal kings of the 4th Dynasty, who ruled between 2600 and 2500 BC, with the belief that these monuments would guide their souls along a golden path to the heavens.

Next, discover the Great Pyramid of King Khufu, an iconic legacy of ancient Egypt. Built around 2570 BC over a period of approximately 15 years using ramp systems and the efforts of nearly 400,000 workers under the supervision of Hemiunu, the pyramid rises to a height of 146.6 meters (481 feet) and weighs nearly six million tons. You will also marvel at the brilliance of its internal design, including the Queen’s Chamber and the King’s Chamber.

Continue your journey with a visit to the Great Sphinx, the oldest large-scale sculpture in history, carved during the reign of Pharaoh Khafre (2558–2532 BC). This mythical monument features the body of a lion and the face of King Khafre, symbolizing strength, wisdom, and royal power.

Afterward, visit the Valley Temple, which consists of 16 massive limestone pillars clad in polished red granite. This temple served as the site for reception, purification, and mummification rituals of the 4th Dynasty pharaohs.

Then, proceed to the Grand Egyptian Museum, a monumental architectural masterpiece spanning nearly 490,000 square meters and designed to harmonize with the Pyramids of Giza. The museum beautifully connects ancient Egyptian civilization with modern technology through its innovative design. Highlights include the Hanging Obelisk, the 11-meter-tall colossus of Ramses II, and the complete collection of over 5,000 artifacts belonging to Tutankhamun.

Lunch time will be enjoyed at a local restaurant in Cairo.

Finally, conclude your day with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, which offers a fascinating journey through more than 5,000 years of Egyptian history, showcasing the grandeur and legacy of ancient Egyptian civilization.

Finally, we drive you to Cairo Airport to fly to Luxor and check-in 5* hotel for the overnight.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

 Flight: From Cairo to Luxor

Overnight: Luxor Hotel

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then meet your Egyptologist tour guide to begin discovering the most famous sights of Luxor.

Your tour starts with a visit to the Valley of the Kings, located on the west bank of the Nile within the Theban Necropolis. This sacred valley contains 63 burial sites belonging to the greatest kings, queens, and nobles of the New Kingdom (1570–1050 BC), spanning from the 18th to the 20th Dynasties. The entrance leads underground beneath a mystical mountain shaped like the sacred Ben-Ben stone, symbolizing eternal life and rebirth and associated with the creator god Atum.

Next, proceed to the Temple of Hatshepsut, the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut (1508–1458 BC). Designed by her royal architect Senenmut, the temple is dedicated to the creator god Amun-Ra and narrates the life journey of Hatshepsut from her coronation to her divine rebirth. The temple is uniquely constructed on three terraced levels carved into the cliffs of Deir El Bahari.

Continue your journey to the Colossi of Memnon, dating back to around 1350 BC. These two massive statues were erected in honor of King Amenhotep III and feature 107 Roman inscriptions written in Greek and Latin, dating between 20 and 250 AD. The inscriptions recount legends of Memnon from Greek mythology, while the statues themselves are adorned with reliefs of the Nile god Hapi, Queen Tiye, the wife of Amenhotep III, and Mutemwiya, his mother.

Lunch time will be enjoyed on an island in the Nile River during a relaxing sightseeing boat ride.

Finally, explore the legendary Karnak Temple Complex, a vast walled religious site that began during the reign of Senusret I in 1971 BC and continued through the Ptolemaic period (305–30 BC). Karnak served as the religious capital of ancient Thebes and was dedicated primarily to the Theban Triad: Amun-Re, his consort Mut, and the god Montu.

After that you will go back to the hotel in Luxor for overnight.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Overnight: Luxor Hotel

Have breakfast at the hotel and check out, then meet your personal Egyptologist guide to begin your journey.

You will be transferred by a private air-conditioned vehicle to visit the Temple of Edfu. This remarkably well-preserved temple dates from 237 BC to 57 BC and represents one of the finest examples of religion, mythology, and language from the Hellenistic Egyptian period. The temple was built in honor of Horus, the falcon god and deity of the sky, and reflects the peak of architectural and artistic achievement of its era.

Next, continue to the Kom Ombo Temple, a unique double temple dedicated to two gods. The northern section honors Haroeris, the falcon god, while the southern section is devoted to Sobek, the crocodile god. Dating back to the Ptolemaic period between 180 BC and 47 BC, the temple offers fascinating insights into the ancient Egyptian calendar and the medical knowledge practiced during that time.

Lunch time will be at a local restaurant in Kom Ombo.

Transfer to Aswan by your private air-conditioned car to check-in at the 5* hotel and overnight.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Overnight: Aswan Hotel

In the morning, enjoy your breakfast boxes and check out of the hotel.
Afterward, you will be transferred by a private air-conditioned car to the legendary Temples of Abu Simbel, accompanied by your private Egyptologist guide.

Upon arrival, visit the Abu Simbel Temples, which were built in 1264 BC by Pharaoh Ramses II to commemorate his eternal legacy. The temples were dedicated to the gods Amun-Ra, Ptah, and Ra-Horakhty, as well as to celebrate his victory at the Battle of Kadesh in 1274 BC, which later led to the signing of the world’s first recorded peace treaty. One of the temples was also built to honor Ramses II’s deep love for his wife, Queen Nefertari, and his children.

After completing your visit, return to your hotel in Aswan to enjoy a delicious lunch

At the end of the day, return back to your hotel in Aswan for the overnight.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Overnight: Aswan Hotel

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel, then check out and get ready to join your Egyptologist guide to explore the most important sights of Aswan.

Your tour will begin with a visit to the High Dam, an impressive engineering achievement constructed during the 1960s and 1970s. The dam was built to regulate the Nile floods, generate hydroelectric power, and represents one of the modern symbols of Aswan’s significance.

Next, you will visit the Unfinished Obelisk, which was intended to be erected at Karnak Temple and would have been the largest obelisk ever constructed, measuring 41.75 meters (137 feet) in height and weighing the equivalent of 2,000 African elephants. Commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut, the obelisk stands as a remarkable testament to ancient Egyptian engineering skills, despite being abandoned due to cracks that appeared during its carving and remaining in its original granite quarry.

Afterward, proceed to the Philae Temple, a truly enchanting site connected to the legendary story of Isis, the goddess of motherhood, and her devotion to Osiris, the god of the underworld. The temple was originally built during the Ptolemaic period between 380 and 362 BC during the reign of King Nectanebo I, and it was later restored by Ptolemy II Philadelphus, Ptolemy V Epiphanes, and Ptolemy VI Philometor of the Ptolemaic Kingdom.

Lunch Time, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in Aswan before concluding your tour.

Why is Abu Simbel famous?

The temples were built by Pharaoh Ramesses II in the 13th century BC. They are famous for their colossal statues and for the incredible relocation project in the 1960s to save them from flooding after the construction of the Aswan High Dam.

Is Abu Simbel included in a standard Nile Cruise?

Usually, no. Most Nile Cruises sail between Luxor and Aswan. While they don't sail to Abu Simbel, almost all cruises offer it as an optional add-on excursion while the ship is docked in Aswan.

How much time do you need at Abu Simbel?

Visitors usually spend 2–3 hours exploring both the Great Temple of Ramesses II and the Temple of Queen Nefertari.

Is Abu Simbel suitable for children and seniors?

Is Abu Simbel worth visiting?

Absolutely. The scale, history, and preservation story of Abu Simbel make it one of Egypt’s most breathtaking archaeological sites and a highlight of any trip to Egypt.

Can I go inside the temples?

Yes! Unlike the Great Sphinx, your entry ticket includes access to the inner chambers of both the Great Temple of Ramesses II and the Temple of Nefertari. You can walk all the way back to the "Holy of Holies" sanctuary.

What is the Abu Simbel Sun Festival?

The Abu Simbel Sun Festival happens twice a year (around February 22 and October 22). On these dates, sunlight illuminates the inner sanctuary statues, an incredible ancient astronomical achievement.
