Next, explore the Great Pyramid, an architectural marvel constructed for Pharaoh Khufu in 2570 BC to align with the four cardinal points. The pyramid was designed by his chief vizier as Khufu’s final resting place. It stood as the tallest monument in history for a record 3,800 years and remains the only ancient wonder still standing.
Afterwards, visit the Great Sphinx, the legendary lion-headed monument honoring Pharaoh Khafre (2558–2532 BC). Khafre’s face was chiseled onto the gigantic lion, and between its paws lies the Dream Stele of Thutmose IV (1401–1391 BC).
Continue to the Valley Temple, the eternal temple of mummification, which is one of the best-preserved archaeological sites where the Opening of the Mouth ritual took place.
Later, head to the Grand Egyptian Museum, an artistic and archaeological masterpiece valued at one billion dollars.
