Overnight: Cairo Hotel

Begin your day with a wonderful breakfast, then meet your personal Egyptologist guide to explore the "greatest monuments in human history." This first day is all about discovering the ancient Egyptian civilization, starting with the famous Giza Pyramids Complex. One of the oldest structures in the world, dating back over 4,000 years, the Giza Pyramids Complex is undoubtedly "one of the greatest tourist attractions in Egypt." This complex includes the three main pyramids, the six small queen pyramids, and the famous Valley Temple, a "well-preserved ancient structure, cut from limestone and granite," that was the "place of mummification in ancient Egypt, during the Old Kingdom."

At the center of the plateau is the Great Pyramid, which is the only remaining structure of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. This architectural wonder, which was constructed about 2580 BC, is still considered the oldest and largest structure in the world. This structure, which is 147m high, was the tallest building in the world for 3,800 years until recently. This structure was created through the efforts of 100,000 highly skilled workers who placed 2.3 million limestone blocks. Watching over these wonders is the Great Sphinx, which is also called "Abu Al-Hawl." This mythical creature is made up of a lion’s body and King Khafre’s head, which is carved out of a natural limestone rock and represents power and wisdom.

The tour proceeds to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), described as a state-of-the-art colossal architectural wonder and the latest gateway into 5,000 years of history. Covering 490,000 square meters and positioned in harmony with the astral pyramids, the GEM combines the rich heritage of the past with the latest innovations of the modern world. This museum boasts the largest conservation center in the Middle East and boasts the finest treasures in the world, including the Hanging Obelisk, the 11-meter colossus of Ramses II, and the full range of more than 5,000 objects from the treasure trove of King Tutankhamun.

Lunch Time Move to have your lunch at a local restaurant in Cairo and continue your trip by a visit to the Egyptian Museum.

Finally, you will visit the Egyptian Museum in the heart of Cairo. This legendary museum was founded in 1901 and was the world’s first-ever museum constructed solely for the purpose of highlighting the artistic and architectural ingenuity of the people of ancient Egypt, with its treasure trove of irreplaceable objects that speak of the golden era. Enjoy the height of history with the skilled guidance of Deluxe Tours Egypt.
At the end of the day, we will transfer you back to your hotel overnight.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Overnight: Cairo Hotel

After having your breakfast, Deluxe Tours embarks on an intriguing tour to the city of Alexandria, known in ancient lore as the "Pearl of the Mediterranean Sea," where enchantment and wonder are exuded in the most magical way. Your tour of the attractions in Alexandria begins at the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, an archaeological wonder that is an absolute masterpiece from the 2nd century AD. The ancient cemetery is globally famous for having the unique ability to integrate Hellenistic and Roman art with the designs of the Pharaohs in an enchantingly charming way. Stretching across three magnificent levels, this ancient cemetery contains an enormous number of artifacts and decorations, thereby qualifying it as one of the Wonders of the Middle Ages.

The journey continues at the massive Pompey’s Pillar, which is the largest monolith column that has ever been built anywhere in the world outside of Rome. This 28-meter high structure is made of pure red granite and has a Greek inscription that is in honor of Emperor Diocletian. Pompey’s Pillar has its name from the Crusaders of the Medieval period, who mistakenly thought that the remains of the renowned Roman general Pompey were contained in a container at the top of the structure. Then comes the Qaitbay Citadel, which is a 15th-century fortress that is an example of the strength of the structure that was developed during that period. This citadel was built in 1477 by the Egyptian Sultan Al-Ashraf Sayf Al-Din Qa'it Bay on the same spot that the legendary Lighthouse of Alexandria stood, which is one of the ‘Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.’ This citadel is made up of the same material that the Lighthouse of Alexandria is composed of, and is said to have the ‘eternal soul of the lighthouse.’ It has impressive Islamic architecture.

Lunch TimeLunch will be served at a seafood restaurant, then you will finish your journey with a visit:

In the final closing of this extraordinary day, you shall visit the Alexandria Library, or the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, as it’s known, which ranks as one of the largest and most modern repositories of knowledge in the world today. This enormous structure serves as a tribute to the original library and ranks as the world’s sixth-largest Francophone library. This multilingual library boasts the largest collection of French books in the entire Middle East and North Africa and holds the most precious historical manuscripts in the world. At Deluxe Tours Egypt, you don’t simply experience the past, you live it in the most decadent way imaginable.
At the end of the day, we will transfer you back to your hotel overnight.
