Day 2 of your tour begins with a gourmet breakfast and hotel check-out, along with a meeting with your personal Egyptologist guide, who will reveal the secrets of Ancient Egypt. Your tour begins at the Giza Pyramids Complex, which has dominated this plateau for over 4,000 years, making it the oldest structure in the world. You will visit the Great Pyramid of Khufu, which is an astronomical wonder and the last remaining monument of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Constructed in 2580 BC using 2.3 million limestone pieces, this 147-meter wonder held the record for being the world's tallest structure for 3,800 years and is also known as the oldest enigma in the world because of its complex design and massive size.
The story of history goes on at the Great Sphinx, the globe’s most secretive protector. Carved from a single limestone rock, this legendary being has the body of a lion and the head of King Khafre, symbolizing the ultimate blend of strength and intelligence. Named ‘Abu Al-Hawl’ or ‘The Father of Terror,’ it stands majestically at 73 meters long, watching over the sands of time. Right behind, you’ll find yourself in the Valley Temple, the holy dwelling of the Mummification Process. Built during the Old Kingdom Period, this well-preserved landmark yields crucial data regarding the burial customs of the ancient civilization, along with exclusive diorite statues of King Khafre.
Next, you will move on to the future of archaeology at the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). This state-of-the-art museum, seamlessly designed to blend in with the Giza Pyramids, covers 490,000 square meters and represents a glorious entrance to 5,000 years of history. In this museum, you will be able to view the Hanging Obelisk, the 11-meter statue of Ramses II, and the famous complete collection of Tutankhamun.
