Overnight: Cairo Hotel

In the morning, you will enjoy breakfast before joining your private tour guide to officially begin your 7-day Cairo & Hurghada holiday by exploring the greatest monuments of the ancient world. Your journey starts at the Giza Pyramids Complex, a 4,000-year-old plateau that houses the three main pyramids, the Great Sphinx, and the sacred Valley Temple. At the heart of this site stands the Great Pyramid of Khufu, an architectural marvel from 2580 BC. Built using 2.3 million blocks of limestone, this 147m tall masterpiece remained the world's tallest building for over 3,800 years and continues to fascinate travelers with its mysterious and precise construction. You will then stand before the Great Sphinx, the oldest colossal statue on Earth and the eternal guardian of Egypt. Carved into the shape of a mythical creature with a man's head and a lion's body, it stands 73m long as a timeless symbol of power and wisdom.

The tour continues to the Valley Temple, one of the best-preserved structures from the Old Kingdom (2686–2181 BC). Made entirely of granite and limestone, this was the sacred site for the mummification process and the "Opening of the Mouth" ritual, housing incredible diorite statues of King Khafre. Next, you will transition to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), a colossal billion-dollar establishment spanning 490,000 square meters. As a gateway to 5,000 years of history, the GEM features the world's first Hanging Obelisk, the massive Colossus of Ramses II, and the legendary complete collection of Tutankhamun.

Proceed to have your lunch at a local restaurant in Cairo.

To conclude your day, you will visit the Saqqara Step Pyramid, a one-of-a-kind structure built by the vizier Imhotep for Pharaoh Djoser. As the earliest large-cut stone construction in history, its unique six-step design stood at 62m and marked the true beginning of the golden age of pyramid building.

Finally, we drive you back to your hotel for the overnight.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Overnight: Cairo Hotel

After enjoying your breakfast and checking out of the hotel, your 7-day Cairo & Hurghada holiday continues with a deep dive into the city's most legendary landmarks. Your journey begins at The Egyptian Museum, an iconic structure established in 1901 to shed light on the historical and cultural wonders of this blessed land, housing thousands of rare artifacts.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Cairo then proceed to visit.

You will then ascend to the Salah El-Din Citadel, also known as the "Cairo Citadel." Completed in 1182 AD by the great conqueror Salah El-Din, this powerful fortress dominated the skyline for centuries as a center of rule and a shield against invaders. Inside its formidable walls, you will discover a hall of justice, royal palaces, and breathtaking gates. Standing proudly within the citadel is the Mohamed Ali Mosque, the "Alabaster Mosque." Built between 1830 and 1848 AD to mirror the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, it stands as a symbol of independence with its soaring minarets and Ottoman-style architecture infused with French Rococo influences and vibrant gold and red finishes.

The odyssey moves toward the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) in Fustat. Renovated in 2020, this miracle of a museum offers a comprehensive view of Egypt’s cultural evolution and houses the legendary Royal Mummies Hall, where 28 kings and queens are displayed with the utmost reverence. As evening approaches, you will walk through the celestial Al Muizz Street, which illuminates the golden history of Cairo’s Islamic era dating back to the 10th century AD. This open-air museum is a social heart of the city, filled with ancient constructions and enchanting decorations. Finally, your day concludes at the Khan El Khalili Bazaar, the "Golden Brick Road" of the Middle East. Dating back to 970 AD, this vibrant market is a labyrinth of historic cafes and shops that have remained active for over a millennium, offering a sensory journey through time before you head to the airport for your flight to the tropical paradise of Hurghada.
