After your breakfast, you will embark on your incredible adventure to explore the eternal sites of Cairo, and your first destination will be the globally famous Giza Pyramids complex. This legendary destination, which has been standing for over 4,000 years, is the real symbol of the greatness of the ancient Egyptian civilization and includes the three biggest pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. In the heart of the plateau, you will be amazed by the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the only surviving wonder of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It has been standing at a height of 147m for over 4,800 years and symbolizes the engineering skills of the people of 2580 BC, as it remained the tallest building in the world for 3,800 years.

The adventure continues as you view the Great Sphinx, the oldest and largest statue in the world. This legendary guardian, named "Horus of the Horizon," consists of the body of a lion and the head of King Khafre and represents ultimate power and intelligence. Next, you will visit the Valley Temple, an Old Kingdom temple that is remarkably well-preserved and where the "Mummification Process" took place. Constructed with limestone and granite stones, this temple holds the rich history of the 4th dynasty to this day.

Next, you will move on to the future of archaeology, which awaits you at the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). This giant museum, covering an area of 490,000 square meters, represents 5,000 years of Egypt’s rich history through storytelling and unique architectural designs. Here, you can behold the Hanging Obelisk, the 11-meter giant statue of Ramses II, and the entire set of more than 5,000 treasures of King Tutankhamun.

Lunch Time Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in Cairo, then proceed with your tour guide to visit Saqqara Step Pyramid.

To wrap up your monumental day, you will head to the Saqqara Step Pyramid, which was the start of the pyramid-building era with its ground-breaking design. Constructed by the legendary architect Imhotep for Pharaoh Djoser in 2700 BC, this six-stepped wonder still stands with its original temple complex, which was the very first large-scale stone structure in human history. Finally, we will drive you back to your hotel to spend the night.

Overnight: Cairo Hotel

After enjoying your breakfast, you shall enter the heart of “The City of Minarets” to discover Cairo’s most famous attractions with your guide. Your adventure shall begin at The Egyptian Museum, which is one of the greatest in the world, holding an exceptional collection of artifacts and relics that cover more than 5,000 years of Egyptian history.

Lunch Time Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Cairo, then proceed to visit Salah El-Din Citadel.

Next, you shall move to the Salah El Din Citadel, an eternal fortress that has towered over Cairo’s skyline since 1182 AD. This invincible fortress has been the seat of power for over 700 years, defying the Crusader’s invasion and Napoleon’s conquest.

Inside the citadel’s walls, you will be in awe at the beauty of the Mohamed Ali Mosque, known famously as “The Alabaster Mosque.” Built during the years 1830 to 1848, it symbolizes independence. Its hypnotic Ottoman architecture, combined with the influence of French Rococo and the dome, produces an entrancing ambiance. The journey through culture goes on at The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), the golden compass that presents Egypt’s heritage with more than 50,000 pieces and the holy room with the 28 Royal Mummies, symbolizing the entire span of Egypt’s history.

As you journey further into the heart of the city, you will stroll down Al Muizz Street, this 10th-century cultural gem that is the perfect example of Islamic architectural evolution, with historic homes and stone gates lining the way. This will bring you to the famous Khan El Khalili Bazaar, the "Golden Brick Road" of the Middle East. With a history dating back to 970 AD, this bustling marketplace has been the oldest in the Middle East for all these years, transporting you into a world of ancient shops and cafes with beautifully preserved Islamic ornamentation all around. After this journey into the heart of Cairo's greatness, you will be taken to the airport for your flight to Luxor, the start of the next phase of your Deluxe Tours Egypt experience.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Flight: From Cairo to Luxor

Overnight: Luxor Hotel

After your early breakfast and check-out, you will meet your personal guide and continue the second day of your 5-day Cairo and Luxor tour package. Your adventure through the world of the afterlife will start at the Valley of the Kings, the famous “stairway to heaven” of the greatest rulers of the New Kingdom (1570-1070 BC). This World Heritage site is home to the secret tomb of 63 rulers of the New Kingdom era, including the great Ramses himself, Amenhotep I, and the world-renowned boy king Tutankhamun.

The journey presses on towards the awe-inspiring Hatshepsut Temple, which is the true representation of the grandeur of the New Kingdom period and its most successful woman ruler. This masterpiece of classical architecture, called Deir El-Bahari, was conceived by the architect Senenmut in 1479 BC and took 15 years to build. Its breathtaking terraces and ‘Holy of Holes’ statues are some of the most breathtaking in Egypt. Also in the vicinity are the Colossi of Memnon, the gigantic twin statues of Luxor. These statues of Amenhotep III are made of quartzite sandstone and stand 18 meters high and are renowned for the Greco-Roman ‘Vocal Memnon’ legend, in which the wind passing through the statues was believed to be the ‘singing’ of Memnon at dawn.

Lunch Time Lunch will be served on an island, so your tour includes a boat trip on the Nile then moving to visit Karnak Temple Complex.

To round off your Luxor experience, you shall visit the Karnak Temple Complex, the largest religious man-made structure in the history of mankind. This open museum has been in existence for over 4,000 years and was known as "The Most Selected of Places." It was the spiritual center of the ancient kingdom and was dedicated to the Theban Triad: Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. Its enormous halls and towering obelisks are bound to leave you in awe. After this intense historical experience, you shall be transferred to Luxor Airport to fly back to Cairo for your final overnight stay.
