Overnight: Cairo Hotel

Following a scrumptious breakfast at the hotel, you will set out on the unforgettable journey that begins with a visit to the Giza Pyramids Complex. This breathtaking wonder, constructed around 2600 BC, was built in the name of the Pharaohs Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, and their spouses, to ensure a safe passage into the afterlife.

We will begin with the Great Pyramid of Khufu, an architectural wonder that took 15 years to build during the reign of Khufu in 2570 BC. This pyramid stands at an impressive 146.6 meters (481 ft) high with a total weight of 6 million tons. Despite the test of time, this pyramid remains the only wonder of the ancient world that still stands. The pyramid contains the king’s chamber and the golden complex.

Next comes the magnificent Great Sphinx, also called Horus of the Horizon. This colossal statue consists of the body of a lion and the face of Pharaoh Khafre himself and has always stood guard over the pyramids and their riches. Then comes the legend of the Dream Stele of Thutmose IV, which surrounds the Sphinx with its own myths.

After that on our tour is the Valley Temple, constructed by Pharaoh Khafre as an area for the practice of the mummification ritual, also referred to as the Purification Ceremony or the Opening of the Mouth ritual. This is one of the most well-preserved archaeological excavation sites in all of Egypt.

Next, you will visit the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), a world-class museum designed along the Giza Pyramids, covering an area of close to 490,000 square meters. GEM represents a gateway through 5,000 years of history, where ancient craftsmanship meets modern technology. You will be amazed at the Hanging Obelisk, the giant statue of Ramses II, as well as more than 5,000 pieces of Tutankhamun’s treasures at the largest conservation center in the Middle East.

After exploring such amazing places, it is time to take a lunch break at a local restaurant. Later, we shall resume our tour at the Saqqara Step Pyramid, the brilliant invention of Imhotep, a priest of the sun god Ra and Pharaoh Djoser’s chancellor. This step pyramid, built around 2670–2650 BC, is part of the 3rd dynasty, representing the final resting place of the ruler, as well as one of the earliest large-scale stone constructions, complete with religious buildings and artistic details.

After that we will transfer you back to the hotel for spending the overnight.

 Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

 Overnight: Cairo Hotel

On the third day, after having breakfast at your hotel in Cairo, we will transfer you to the pearl of the Mediterranean, Alexandria, to start exploring some of the most alluring sights there.

The first place you will experience in the city of Alexandria is the Qaitbay Citadel, an imposing fortress located along the Mediterranean coastline. This fortress, which dates back to 1477–1479 AD, was erected by Sultan Al-Ashraf Sayf Al-Din Qa'it Bay on the ruins of the Ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria. This fortress is an open-air museum that houses some of the best examples of Islamic architecture found in Egypt.

The next destination you will visit is the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the modern version of the legendary Library of Alexandria that was destroyed in the first century. This cultural icon was opened in 2002 and contains more than 8 million books, in addition to museums filled with priceless artifacts and statues, providing an awe-inspiring experience of both the past and present.

After absorbing the beauty and knowledge of the library, it’s time for lunch at a local restaurant before resuming your afternoon exploration.

In the afternoon, you can marvel at Pompey’s Pillar, a remarkable example of a triumphal column made from granite and dating from the Roman era. It measures 28 meters high and 2.7 meters wide, and was erected between 298 and 303 AD as a dedication to Emperor Diocletian, making it a remarkable sight in Alexandria.

Finally, you will visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, a very exotic and rare archaeological site from the Greco-Roman period, dating between the 2nd and 4th centuries. Initially a tomb for a single family, it expanded to become one of the Seven Wonders of the Medieval World, exquisitely combining both Pharaonic and Hellenistic art forms. As you walk through this underground tomb, you will experience the mystery of a bygone era.

At the end of the day, we will transfer you back to your hotel in Cairo for spending the overnight.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Overnight: Cairo Hotel

On the fourth day, begin with a mouth-watering breakfast at your hotel and check out as we transfer you to Cairo Airport for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival in Aswan, your personal tour guide will lead you on a magical tour of the wonders of this enchanting city.

Your first destination is the High Dam of Aswan, a feat of modern engineering dating from the 1960s and 70s. The dam is responsible for shielding Egypt from the yearly Nile flood, as well as providing hydroelectric energy and irrigation water to the land. Standing in front of the dam, you will grasp the grandeur of this engineering marvel and the role it has played in shaping the modern state of Egypt.

The next stop that will leave you in awe is the Unfinished Obelisk, an impressive monument from Queen Hatshepsut's reign (1508–1458 BC). Intended to 'pierce the skies,' this gigantic granite monument measures 42 meters in height, weighing 1,200 tons. The fine details of this monument are still visible on the bedrock, exemplifying the impressive skill of the ancient Egyptians during the New Kingdom era.

After absorbing these breathtaking views, you can enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and then continue your tour to Philae Temple. This breathtaking temple of Isis, the mother goddess, holds eternal stories of love and sacrifice. Constructed between 380–362 BC and later extended by Ptolemy II Philadelphus, Ptolemy VI Philometor, and Ptolemy V Epiphanes, Philae Temple proudly stands on its island and shares the legendary history of Egyptian spirituality.

At the end of the day, we will transfer you to a check-in 5* hotel in Aswan for the overnight.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

 Flight: From Cairo to Aswan

 Overnight: Aswan Hotel

On your fifth day of this 10-day Classical Egypt Tour, your morning will commence with breakfast boxes along with checking out of your Aswan hotel. You will then meet your private tour guide for a fascinating car ride southwest to behold one of Egypt’s greatest wonders: the Temples of Abu Simbel.

The blessed Abu Simbel Temples were constructed during the reign of Ramesses the Great (1279–1213 BC) in honor of the god Amun. Located in the far south of Egypt, the Abu Simbel Temples (1264 BC) were constructed to honor the gods Ptah, Amun, and Ra-Horakhty, uniquely designed so that the sun god’s statue is illuminated inside during the Sun Festival, which occurs twice a year. Additionally, the Abu Simbel Temples commemorate the great act of Ramesses, who signed the first recorded peace treaty in 1274 BC after the Battle of Kadesh.

The larger temple is an homage to Ramesses himself, while the smaller temple is an exquisite tribute to his loving wife, Queen Nefertari. A visit to the Abu Simbel Temples gives you the opportunity to travel back in time and experience the majesty of Ancient Egyptian culture and the devotion and skill that has endured for over three thousand years.

After this amazing experience, you will head back to Aswan for lunch at a local restaurant, providing a relaxing break before continuing with the rest of the journey.

Board your train to Luxor where you will check in for a 5* hotel for the overnight.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Luxor Temple is dedicated to great leaders such as Amenhotep III, Ramesses the Great, and even Alexander the Great. As you walk through Luxor Temple, you will be amazed at the ingenuity that captures the essence of ancient Egyptian civilization, highlighted by enchanting night lighting.

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, your journey will continue in Luxor, where you will visit the fascinating West Bank and its amazing landmarks.

Your initial destination is the Valley of the Kings, the magnificent royal necropolis, marking the beginning of a mystical passage to the afterlife. In this region, you will walk through 63 burial sites of pharaohs, queens, and nobles from the 16th to 11th centuries BC, situated inside the Theban Necropoleis. The burial sites of legendary pharaohs such as Rameses I–X, Seti I, Hatshepsut, Amenhotep I, and Tutankhamen reveal the majesty, creativity, and religious convictions of the ancient Egyptians.

The next place you will visit is the Hatshepsut Temple, an incredible example of ancient Egyptian architecture. Carved out of the sides of the Deir el-Bahari valley in 1479 BC, the temple honors the accomplishments of Queen Hatshepsut as the high priestess and wife of Amun-Ra.

After completing this amazing adventure, take a brief pause for lunch before proceeding to the Colossi of Memnon. The Colossi are a testament to the greatness of Amenhotep III and his legacy, remembered through his family.
