After breakfast, we will start our 9-day Alexandria, Cairo & Sharm El Sheikh adventure by exploring the wonders of Cairo. First, we will head to the iconic Giza Pyramids Complex, one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world. This complex has stood as a testament to the brilliance of ancient Egyptian civilization for over 4,500 years. It includes three main pyramids—Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure—six smaller pyramids, the eternal guardian Great Sphinx, and the sacred Valley Temple.
Next, we will explore the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the oldest and last intact wonder of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Standing at 147 meters (481 ft), it was built around 2580 BC in just 20 years using 2,300,000 limestone blocks, each weighing 2.5 tons, with a workforce of 100,000 skilled laborers. It remained the tallest man-made structure in the world for nearly 3,800 years and continues to amaze visitors from around the globe with its precision and mysterious origins.
Then, we will marvel at the Great Sphinx, the world’s largest and oldest monolithic statue. It has the body of a lion and the head of a man, believed to be Khafre, symbolizing wisdom and strength. Carved from a single limestone block during Egypt’s Old Kingdom (2686–2134 BC), it stands 73 meters long (240 ft) and 20 meters high (66 ft). Known as "Hor-em-Akhet," meaning "Horus of the Horizon," it is now called Abu Al-Hawl, “The Father of Terror,” in Arabic. Its mysterious features, including the famous missing nose, continue to captivate historians and travelers alike.
Afterward, we will visit the Valley Temple, one of the best-preserved monuments of the Old Kingdom. Constructed entirely from red limestone and granite, this sacred temple was the site of the mummification process and houses stunning diorite statues of King Khafre.
We will then continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), a modern masterpiece aligned with the Giza Pyramids. Spanning nearly 490,000 square meters, GEM is a hub of archaeological wonders, housing over 5,000 artifacts from Tutankhamun, the Hanging Obelisk, and the 11-meter colossus of Ramses II. It combines advanced architecture with immersive storytelling, allowing us to explore 5,000 years of Egyptian history while connecting ancient wonders with modern innovation.
After this incredible morning, we will enjoy lunch at a local Cairo restaurant before heading to Saqqara Step Pyramid. Built around 2700 BC by the legendary architect Imhotep, vizier of Pharaoh Djoser, this pyramid marks the beginning of pyramid construction in Egypt. Standing 62 meters tall, it is made of limestone and is surrounded by a remarkable complex that includes ceremonial structures and intricate decorations that have remained in impressive condition over millennia.
Finally, we drive you back to your hotel in Cairo for spending the overnight.

After breakfast, we will head to the pearl of the Mediterranean, Alexandria, with your tour guide to continue our Cairo, Alexandria & Sharm El Sheikh tour. Our first stop will be the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, a one-of-a-kind archaeological site in Egypt. This stunning necropolis, built in the 2nd century AD, is a masterpiece that fuses Hellenistic, Roman, and ancient Egyptian artistic styles. Spread across three levels, it houses an incredible collection of Greek and Roman artifacts, intricate carvings, and remarkable decorations, earning it the title of one of the Seven Wonders of the Middle Ages.
Next, we will visit Pompey's Pillar, a proud symbol of Roman glory and one of the largest monolithic columns ever constructed outside of Rome. Standing 28 meters tall and 2.7 meters wide, the pillar is made of pure red granite, with a Greek inscription on its western upper side dedicated to Emperor Diocletian. During the Middle Ages, Crusaders believed that the remains of the great Roman general Pompey rested atop the pillar, which is how it got its name.
We will then explore the Qaitbay Citadel, a fortress built in 1477 by Sultan Al-Ashraf Sayf Al-Din Qa’it Bay. The citadel stands on the exact site of the legendary Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the ancient wonders of the world, which was destroyed by a series of earthquakes between 956 and 1323 AD. Stones from the old lighthouse were reused in the citadel, making it a remarkable reminder of Alexandria’s rich history. Its Islamic-era architecture is both beautiful and awe-inspiring.
Lunch will be served at a local seafood restaurant before we continue our journey to the Alexandria Library, a modern echo of the ancient Library of Alexandria. This impressive library is one of the largest and most advanced in the world. It is trilingual, housing books in Arabic, English, and French, and contains the largest collection of French books in North Africa and the Middle East. The library also features remarkable art galleries and holds some of the rarest collections of books on the planet, making it a must-visit for lovers of history, culture, and knowledge.
