Marvel at the Great Pyramid of King Khufu (2609–2584 BC), a living miracle and the ultimate symbol of ancient Egyptian ingenuity. Designed by the genius architect Hemiunu, it was constructed with 2.3 million limestone blocks and 400,000 skilled workers, reaching a height of 147 meters, making it the tallest structure on Earth for over 3,000 years.
Next, witness the majestic Sphinx, also known as Horus of the Horizon, carved from a single massive piece of limestone. This royal guardian immortalizes the power and wisdom of King Chephren (2558–2532 BC). Between its paws rests the legendary Dream Stele of Thutmose IV, added in 1401 BC.
You will then explore the Valley Temple, built in 2700 BC as a divine mortuary temple where the mummification process and purification rituals were performed for the royal family of the 4th dynasty buried in the Giza Pyramids.
Your morning continues at the Grand Egyptian Museum, a magnificent modern marvel spanning 490,000 square meters, aligned with the pyramids of Giza. GEM offers a gateway to 5,000 years of history, featuring the Hanging Obelisk, the 11-meter colossus of Ramses II, and over 5,000 artifacts from Tutankhamun. The museum also includes one of the largest conservation centers in the Middle East, with research labs and educational facilities dedicated to preserving Egypt’s rich heritage.
