Begin with the Giza Pyramids Complex, the greatest open-air museum on earth, created around 2700 BC by the members of the 4th Dynasty to reach the gates of heaven. Here, you will marvel at The Great Pyramid of Pharaoh Khufu (2609–2584 BC), designed by his chief architect Hemiunu and built with 400,000 skilled workers. This towering structure, originally 147 meters tall and made of 2.3 million limestone blocks, has withstood the test of time and stands as the last remaining wonder of the ancient world.
Next, witness the awe-inspiring Great Sphinx, a symbol of strength and wisdom for Pharaoh Chephren (2558–2532 BC). Carved from a single massive limestone block, it cradles the legendary Dream Stele of Thutmose IV (1401 BC) between its paws.
Continue to the Valley Temple, a divine mortuary temple built around 2700 BC, where the royal family of the 4th Dynasty underwent mummification and purification rituals.
Then, explore the magnificent Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), a billion-dollar masterpiece aligned with the celestial pyramids of Giza. Spanning nearly 490,000 square meters, GEM showcases treasures such as the Hanging Obelisk, the 11-meter colossus of Ramses II, and over 5,000 artifacts from Tutankhamun. The museum also hosts one of the largest conservation centers in the Middle East, with research labs and educational facilities dedicated to preserving Egypt’s heritage.
Enjoy lunch at a restaurant with stunning views of the Pyramids and the Nile, before continuing your journey to the Saqqara Step Pyramid. This ancient marvel, built for Pharaoh Djoser (2649–2611 BC) by the brilliant architect Imhotep, launched the golden age of pyramid construction in the Old Kingdom. Rising 62 meters, its six steps and complex design set the stage for the architectural wonders that followed.
