First, after you finish your delicious breakfast, you will start your 5-day Cairo & Luxor tour to witness the immortal beauty of this holy land. Your first stop will be the Giza Pyramids Complex, one of the most famous complexes in the entire world, which reflects the glory of the ancient Egyptians in the best manner. It was constructed in 2580 BC, making it one of the oldest and largest structures in the entire world.

Next, learn about The Great Sphinx, the world’s greatest and oldest statue. The Great Sphinx is carved from one limestone rock and has the body of a lion and the face of a man, believed to be Pharaoh Khafre, representing power and wisdom. The Great Sphinx is named Abu Al-Hawl (“The Father of Terror”) in Arabic and Hor-em-Akhet (“Horus of the Horizon”) and is 73 m (240 ft) long and 19 m (66 ft) tall.

Next, visit the  Valley Temple, an Old Kingdom monument from Egypt’s past, specifically from 2686 to 2134 BC. The Valley Temple, where mummification rituals took place, is made of limestone and granite and features exquisite diorite statues of Pharaoh Chephren.

Next, discover the marvels of the Grand Egyptian Museum(GEM), an architectural marvel covering an area of nearly 490,000 square meters and located near the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. GEM is the gateway to 5,000 years of history and features treasures such as the Hanging Obelisk, the 11-meter colossus of Ramses II, and the total collection of more than 5,000 objects from Tutankhamun, among other treasures.

Next, have lunch at one of the local restaurants in Cairo.

Next, visit the Saqqara Step Pyramid, the first pyramid ever built in Egypt around 2700 BC by the legendary Imhotep, who was the vizier of Pharaoh Djoser. The first and the only six-step pyramid in the world is 62 m tall and surrounded by a 10.5 m wall with 14 doors and is decorated with wonderful designs and features various ceremonial buildings that are still in good condition.

Finally, drive back to your hotel to spend the night in Cairo.

Next, visit Mohamed Ali Mosque, also known as The Alabaster Mosque, built between 1830 and 1848 AD. It was inspired by the Blue Mosque in Istanbul and has Ottoman architecture with French Rococo influences, giving it a very enchanting view with its red, green, and gold interiors topped by a majestic dome.

Finally, visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), a golden compass of 5,000 years of Egyptian heritage. The museum houses 50,000 artifacts and the Grand Hall of Mummies, containing 28 royal mummies from all of Egyptian history.

Next, take a leisurely walk along Al Muizz Street, which was constructed in the 10th century by the Fatimid dynasty. This cultural heritage site offers a view of the evolution of Islamic architecture through its old buildings, cafes, stone doors, and art galleries. Your tour of Cairo will come to a close with a visit to Khan El Khalili, which is the oldest bazaar in the Middle East, dating back to 970 AD. Take a walk through its vibrant stores, magical cafes, and enchanting Islamic architecture, which has stood the test of time.

Finally, you will be transferred to Cairo Airport to catch your flight to Luxor. On your arrival, you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to a 5★ hotel in Luxor for your overnight stay.

First, take your breakfast early in the morning at your hotel. Next, you will check out of your hotel and join your private tour guide to continue with the second part of your 5 Days Cairo & Luxor tour package. Next, you will visit the magnificent Queen Hatshepsut Temple, which is a masterpiece of beauty and architectural brilliance that reveals the greatness of one of Egypt’s most successful rulers. This temple, which was designed by the Chancellor Senenmut of Egypt in 1479 BC and took 15 years to complete, is known as Deir El-Bahari or Djeser-Djeseru (Holy of Holies). This temple has some of the most wonderful decorations and statues, which were inspired by classical architectural concepts.

Next, visit the Colossi of Memnon, the ancient guardians of Luxor. These two quartzite sandstone statues rise 18 meters (60 feet) tall and weigh 720 tons each, depicting Pharaoh Amenhotep III (1386-1350 BC). Though the Colossi were severely damaged by an earthquake in 27 BC and then rebuilt in 199 AD, the Colossi were renowned in the Greco-Roman period for the “Vocal Memnon,” a sound produced by the wind passing through the Colossi at dawn.

Then, enjoy your lunch on an island during a leisurely cruise on the Nile River. After that, visit Karnak Temple, one of the largest outdoor archaeological sites in the world. Anciently named “Ipet-isu” (The Most Selected of Places) and “Pr-Imn” (House of Amun), the magnificent temple complex goes back over 4,000 years. It was the site of the center of religious worship in ancient Egypt, housing the Theban triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu, as well as other gods such as Osiris, Montu, Ptah, and Isis.

Lastly, at the end of the day, transfer to Luxor Airport to board your flight back to Cairo. On arrival, transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay.
