In the early morning, you can enjoy your breakfast at your hotel. After that, you can join your private Egyptologist tour guide to visit some of the greatest monuments in human history and discover the wonders of ancient Egyptian civilization.

First, visit the Giza Pyramids, one of the oldest monuments in the world, dating back more than 4,000 years. The complex consists of three main pyramids, six smaller pyramids, and the iconic protector of the entire site, the Great Sphinx. Also included is the Valley Temple, which was used to preserve the heritage and legacy of Egypt’s kings and queens for countless generations. The Giza complex is recognized as one of the top tourist attractions in Egypt.

Next, let’s explore the Great Pyramid, which is the last remaining wonder from the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It was constructed in 2580 BC and took over 20 years to build with 2,300,000 blocks of limestone, each weighing 2.5 tons, and 100,000 workers who were experts in their field. It was the tallest building in the world for 3,800 years, standing at 147 meters (481 ft) high. It is said that it was built with such precision and intricacy that it is surrounded by mysteries.

Then, admire the Great Sphinx, also known as Abu Al-Hawl, “The Father of Terror.” This statue, made of one limestone rock, has the body of a lion and the head of a man, believed to be King Khafre, signifying power and wisdom. The Sphinx has a size of 73 meters long and 19 meters high, and it continues to intrigue visitors and historians around the world.

Next, visit the Valley Temple, It is home to the mummification process that began in the Old Kingdom (2686–2134 BC). It is made entirely out of limestone and granite, and it is considered one of the most well-preserved ancient Egyptian sites, housing magnificent diorite statues of Pharaoh Khafre.

Then, continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), a colossal, state-of-the-art facility near the pyramids, covering almost 490,000 square meters. The museum offers a history spanning 5,000 years, including treasures like the Hanging Obelisk, the 11-meter colossus of Ramses II, and the complete collection of over 5,000 pieces from Tutankhamun. GEM blends ancient heritage with modern architectural ingenuity, including conservation and research facilities, and educational spaces.

For lunch, stop at a local restaurant in Cairo to enjoy a delicious meal before continuing the day with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, established in 1901. This legendary museum houses an unparalleled collection of artifacts and monuments that highlight the artistic and architectural brilliance of ancient Egypt over 5,000 years.

Finally, at the end of the day, you will be transferred back to your hotel for overnight stay.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Overnight: Cairo Hotel

Following breakfast, your next destination is the enchanting city of Alexandria, the pearl of the Mediterranean Sea, where history and beauty blend in a magical way. It is in this city that you will visit the most captivating attractions.

First, visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, a unique necropolis that dates back to the 2nd century AD. This catacomb has combined both Hellenistic and Roman art with that of the ancient Egyptian Pharaonic style in an amazing way. This catacomb has three levels, making it home to an impressive array of artifacts, thus qualifying it as one of the seven wonders of the Middle Ages.

Then, continue to Pompey’s Pillar, the largest monolithic column ever built outside of Rome. It is made of pure red granite and stands 28 meters high and 2.7 meters wide. There is a Greek dedication to Emperor Diocletian inscribed on its western upper part. It was given this name because it was mistakenly thought by Crusaders in the Middle Ages that the Roman general's remains were kept at the top of this column.

Next, admire the Citadel of Qaitbay, A stunning fortress built in 1477 by Sultan Al-Ashraf Sayf Al-Din Qa’it Bay, located at the site of the legendary ‘Lighthouse of Alexandria’ that was one of the ‘Wonders of the World’ destroyed by earthquakes between 956 AD and 1323 AD. The citadel is made using stones obtained from the original ‘Lighthouse’ and represents the strength and beauty of ‘Mediterranean Architecture’ along with magnificent ‘Islamic Period’ designs.

For lunch, enjoy fresh seafood at a local restaurant before concluding the day with a visit to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, one of the largest and most advanced libraries in the world. It was built as an homage to the ancient Library of Alexandria, and it is the world’s sixth largest Francophone library, as well as a trilingual center with books written in Arabic, English, and French. It also has the largest number of French books in North Africa and the Middle East, along with some of the rarest books on the planet.

Lastly, at the end of the day, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo for your overnight stay.
