4 Days Cairo and Abu Simbel Journey

Following breakfast, you prepare to explore Cairo’s most iconic attractions accompanied by your dedicated Egyptologist tour guide, starting off at the legendary Giza Pyramids, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

First, visit the Giza Pyramids,a timeless marvel that has stood for over 4,500 years since 2600 BC. Here, the golden heritage of Egypt’s Old Kingdom is on display in the most magnificent manner.

Next, take in the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the grand structure built around 2570 BC by King Khufu of the 4th Dynasty. This is the only one of the ancient wonders still intact, standing 147 meters (481 ft) tall, originally built as the pharaoh’s final resting place.

Next, witness the awe-inspiring Sphinx of Giza, a magnificent limestone statue with the body of a lion and the face of King Khafre (2558–2532 BC). This golden mythical structure continues to captivate the world with its beauty and the mysteries surrounding it.

Then, explore the Valley Temple, constructed by Khafre to honor the royal bodies of the 4th Dynasty. Made from granite and adorned with remarkable statues, it was used for mummification and to immortalize the pharaohs’ legacy.

Next, visit the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM),a state-of-the-art facility that is in line with the pyramids, covering nearly 490,000 square meters. GEM is a link between past and present innovation, featuring treasures such as the Hanging Obelisk, the 11-meter Ramses II Colossus, and more than 5,000 pieces from Tutankhamun. It is also home to one of the largest conservation centers in the Middle East, in addition to research and educational areas for the preservation of heritage in Egypt.

For lunch, have a delightful meal at a local restaurant in Cairo with your guide.

Then, continue your journey with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, established in 1901 in the heart of Cairo. This iconic museum houses countless treasures spanning 5,000 years of Egyptian history, offering an incredible insight into the artistry and culture of ancient Egypt.

Firstly, visit the Two Temples of Abu Simbel, which are cultural masterpieces built in 1264 BC. These temples, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the 1970s, were built by King Ramses II to celebrate his victory in the Battle of Kadesh in 1274 BC and to immortalize his devotion to his gods, Ra-Horakhty, Ptah, and Amun. They also celebrate his eternal devotion to his queen, Nefertari.

Next, after this visit, take a delightful lunch at a restaurant by the Nile River.

Lastly, after your visit, transfer to Aswan Airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your 5* hotel in Cairo for your overnight stay.
