First, you will begin the day exploring the legendary West Bank of Luxor, home to the royal burial grounds of ancient Egypt.

Next, you will visit the world-famous  Valley of the Kings, where many powerful pharaohs were buried including Tutankhamun. Here you will enter three beautifully decorated tombs carved deep inside the mountains, where colorful wall paintings illustrate the ancient beliefs about the afterlife.

After that, you will continue to the impressive Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, an architectural masterpiece built into the cliffs of Deir El-Bahari. This remarkable temple honors one of Egypt’s most powerful female rulers and features elegant terraces, grand colonnades, and fascinating relief scenes.

Then, you will stop to see the enormous Colossi of Memnon, two giant statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III that have stood for more than 3,000 years guarding what was once a magnificent mortuary temple.

After returning to the cruise ship, you will enjoy lunch on board as the cruise begins sailing south toward Esna. During the journey you will pass beautiful villages, green farmlands, and experience the interesting passage through the Esna Lock.

Finally, you will enjoy dinner on board while the cruise continues sailing toward Edfu.

You may choose to start your day with an unforgettable hot air balloon ride over Luxor, where you will float above the  Valley of the Kings, temples, and the Nile while the sunrise colors the sky with golden light.

First, you will arrive in Edfu and take a traditional horse-drawn carriage ride through the town toward the magnificent temple.

Next, you will explore the incredible Edfu Temple, dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god of protection and kingship. This temple is one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt and features massive pylons, spacious courtyards, and detailed carvings that tell the story of the legendary battle between Horus and Seth.

After that, you will return to the cruise ship and enjoy lunch on board while sailing along the Nile toward Kom Ombo.

Then, you will visit the unique Kom Ombo Temple, a rare double temple dedicated to two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder. The temple’s symmetrical design and fascinating carvings of ancient surgical instruments reveal the medical knowledge of ancient Egyptians.

Then, you will explore the fascinating Unfinished Obelisk in the ancient granite quarries of Aswan, where you will learn how the ancient Egyptians carved giant obelisks directly from the rock.

Finally, you will return to the cruise ship to relax on board, with free time to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Aswan before dinner and overnight on the cruise.

Next, you may choose to join an optional excursion to the magnificent Abu Simbel Temples, one of the most spectacular monuments in Egypt. These incredible temples were built by Ramses II and carved directly into the rock overlooking Lake Nasser.

After that, you will admire the four colossal statues of Ramses II guarding the temple entrance and explore the nearby temple dedicated to Queen Nefertari, one of the most beautiful temples honoring a queen in ancient Egypt.

Finally, you will be transferred to Aswan Airport to catch your flight as your unforgettable Nile cruise journey comes to an end.
