Itineraries

Upon arrival in Luxor, you will board your Nile cruise before lunchtime, where you will be warmly welcomed and given time to settle comfortably into your cabin.

In the afternoon, you will head out to explore the remarkable temples of the East Bank.

Your tour will begin at the impressive  Karnak Temple Complex, a vast religious site that extends over more than 100 hectares. As you walk along the majestic Avenue of Ram-Headed Sphinxes toward the enormous First Pylon, you will step into a world of ancient grandeur. Inside, you will discover the famous Hypostyle Hall with its 134 massive columns covered in detailed hieroglyphs. The complex also features sacred lakes, towering obelisks, and the great Precinct of Amun-Re, reflecting more than 1,500 years of history and architectural development.

Next, you will visit Luxor Temple, beautifully illuminated by the soft afternoon light. This temple was once a center for important religious ceremonies linked to renewal and kingship. Here, you will admire the colossal statues of Ramses II and notice the Abu Haggag Mosque, which was built within the temple structure centuries later. You will also see part of the Sphinx Avenue that once connected Luxor Temple to Karnak.

After completing the tour, you will return to the cruise ship to enjoy tea time and relax on the sun deck. In the evening, dinner will be served on board, followed by an overnight stay in Luxor.

Meals: Lunch, Dinner

After breakfast, you will begin your discovery of Luxor’s legendary West Bank, where the secrets of the ancient pharaohs await.

Your first stop will be the Valley of the Kings, the hidden royal burial ground carved deep into the cliffs of Thebes. You will visit three richly decorated tombs, each adorned with colorful scenes illustrating the journey to the afterlife. There is also the option to enter the tomb of Tutankhamun or Seti I for an additional fee.

Next, you will explore the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari. Built into the dramatic limestone cliffs, this unique multi-level temple honors Egypt’s first female pharaoh. Its elegant colonnades, detailed reliefs, and breathtaking views over the Theban necropolis make it one of the most remarkable monuments in Egypt.

You will then stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III that once stood at the entrance of his grand mortuary temple. Your guide will share the fascinating legends of the so-called “singing statues,” which captured the imagination of ancient travelers.

After completing the tour, you will return to the cruise ship for lunch on board. In the afternoon, the ship will begin sailing south toward Esna, passing picturesque villages and lush green riverbanks along the Nile. You will also experience the interesting process of crossing the Esna Lock. Dinner will be served on board as you continue sailing toward Edfu, where you will spend the night.

For those seeking an unforgettable experience, you may choose to join an optional early morning hot air balloon ride over Luxor. As the sun rises above the Nile, you will gently float over the Valley of the Kings, temples, and fertile farmlands, enjoying a breathtaking panoramic view of ancient Thebes glowing in golden light. It is a peaceful and truly memorable way to start your day.

Meals:Breakfast, lunch, Dinner

After breakfast, you will begin your morning visit to Edfu . To reach the temple, you will enjoy a charming ride in a traditional horse-drawn carriage, giving you a glimpse of how travelers once moved through the town in the 19th century.

Your visit will take you to the magnificent Temple of Horus at Edfu, considered the best-preserved temple of the ancient world. Built during the Ptolemaic period, the temple is dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god of kingship and protection. As you pass through its impressive entrance pylon, you will explore spacious courtyards and admire the detailed reliefs illustrating the legendary battle between Horus and Seth. You will also step into the Holy of Holies, where sacred rituals were once performed.

After the tour, you will return to the cruise ship and enjoy lunch on board while sailing toward Kom Ombo.

In the afternoon, you will visit the remarkable Temple of Kom Ombo, a unique and perfectly symmetrical temple dedicated to two deities. One side honors Sobek, the crocodile god and protector of the Nile, while the other is devoted to Horus the Elder, god of the sky and kingship. Inside, you will discover fascinating carvings of ancient medical instruments, an early calendar, and scenes connected to healing practices.

You will also visit the nearby Crocodile Mummification Museum, where preserved crocodiles and artifacts shed light on the cult of Sobek.

After completing your visits, you will return to the cruise ship. Dinner will be served on board as you continue sailing toward Aswan, where you will spend the night.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After breakfast, you will embark on a morning tour of Aswan’s highlights, beginning with the High Dam. This modern engineering marvel tamed the mighty Nile, providing water and electricity to millions, and offers spectacular panoramic views of Lake Nasser.

Next, you will visit the enchanting Temple of Philae, located on Agilkia Island and reachable only by boat. Dedicated to Isis, the goddess of love and magic, the temple was carefully relocated stone by stone during a UNESCO rescue project. Its elegant columns, sacred sanctuaries, and serene lakeside setting make it one of Aswan’s most treasured sites.

You will then explore the  Unfinished Obelisk in the ancient granite quarries, where the largest obelisk ever attempted still lies in place. This remarkable site provides insight into the stone-working techniques of ancient Egypt.

After the morning tour, return to the cruise for lunch on board. The afternoon is free for relaxation or an optional sail on a traditional felucca along the Nile, enjoying the peaceful river scenery. Dinner will be served on board, and you will spend the night in Aswan.

For those interested in a cultural experience, an optional visit to a Nubian Village is available. You will travel by boat along the Nile to explore the colorful mud-brick homes, meet friendly locals, and learn about Nubian traditions, music, and daily life—a warm and immersive glimpse into Egypt’s southern heritage.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Enjoy your final breakfast on board before disembarking in Aswan.

For those interested, there is an optional early morning excursion to the Abu Simbel Temples, one of Egypt’s most extraordinary sites. These colossal temples, dedicated to Ramses II and Queen Nefertari, are carved directly into the sandstone cliffs and face the rising sun.

The temples were carefully relocated during a remarkable UNESCO preservation project, ensuring they remain a timeless testament to ancient Egyptian engineering, devotion, and grandeur. Visiting Abu Simbel offers an unforgettable experience of history, art, and monumental architecture.
