5 Day Luxury Egypt Holiday: Cairo, Luxor & Abu Simbel

Start your day with a delicious breakfast, then we’ll head out to explore some of Cairo’s most amazing sights. First, you’ll see the Giza Pyramids, including the Great Pyramid of Khufu, which was built over 4,500 years ago and remains one of the greatest wonders of the ancient world. You’ll also visit the Great Sphinx, with the face of Pharaoh Khafre sitting majestically on a lion’s body, and the Valley Temple, where the ancient kings performed sacred rituals.

Next, we’ll take you to the Grand Egyptian Museum, a stunning modern museum near the pyramids that houses incredible treasures like the Hanging Obelisk, the colossus of Ramses II, and over 5,000 artifacts from Tutankhamun. After this fascinating morning, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch, and then continue to the Egyptian Museum in the heart of Cairo, where you can admire the ancient artifacts and learn about the rich history of this incredible civilization.

Finally, we transfer you to the airport so that you fly to Aswan. Upon arrival, our representative will help you to have check-in at a 5* high-luxury hotel in Aswan with a beautiful view so that you have your overnight.

In the morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel, then join your Egyptologist tour guide for a truly unforgettable trip to Abu Simbel. You’ll explore the magnificent temples built by Pharaoh Ramses II (1279–1213 BC) to celebrate his victories and immortalize his reign. You’ll also see the smaller temple dedicated to his beloved queen, Nefertari, and the goddess Hathor. The walls of the temple tell the story of Ramses II’s triumph at the Battle of Kadesh, and you’ll learn about the famous sun festival that takes place each year on February 22 and October 22, when the sun illuminates the statues of Ptah, Amun, and Ra-Horakhty.

After soaking in this extraordinary site, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch before our representative takes you in a private air-conditioned vehicle to the Aswan train station, where you’ll travel to Luxor for the next stage of your journey.

Start your day with an impressive breakfast, then join our Egyptologist tour guide to explore the breathtaking sights of Luxor. Begin with the Valley of the Kings, the legendary necropolis where the royal tombs of kings, queens, and nobles of the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties of the New Kingdom (1570–1050 BC) were built. Here, you’ll discover 63 tombs, including those of Tutankhamun, Seti I, and other powerful rulers, filled with incredible wall paintings and hieroglyphs that reveal the funerary practices, beliefs, and history of ancient Egypt.

Next, you’ll visit the magnificent Hatshepsut Temple, nestled against the Deir El Bahari cliffs. Built in 1479 BCE, this stunning temple showcases the achievements of Queen Hatshepsut, one of the most influential pharaohs in Egyptian history, with three levels of beautifully preserved art dedicated to Amun.

Then, marvel at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues of Amenhotep III standing 18 meters (60 ft) tall. These majestic figures are adorned with inscriptions that tell epic stories about the mythical hero Memnon.

It will be time for lunch, after which you’ll continue your tour to the Karnak Temple, one of the most extraordinary religious complexes in Egypt. Dedicated to the Theban triad—Mut, Amun, and Khonsu, Karnak was built between 1971 BC and 30 BC and served as the heart of Thebes during the New Kingdom. Walk through the avenue of the Sphinx, explore the Hypostyle Hall, pylons, shrines, and precincts, and soak in the grandeur of this ancient wonder.

Now you are going to fly back to Cairo, and check in your hotel in Cairo to spend the night.
