Itineraries

Your day will begin in the morning when you meet your private tour guide, then you’ll head out to discover the magical highlights of Aswan, a city where ancient history meets modern achievements.

First, you’ll visit the impressive Aswan High Dam, a remarkable engineering project constructed between 1960 and 1970. This massive structure was built to control the annual flooding of the Nile and generate hydroelectric power, playing a vital role in transforming Egypt’s economy and agriculture.

Then, you’ll continue your journey to the fascinating Unfinished Obelisk, the largest obelisk ever attempted in ancient Egypt. It was commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut (1508–1458 BC), but was abandoned due to a crack in the stone. This site offers a rare look into the incredible stone-carving techniques of the ancient Egyptians.

For lunchtime, take a break from exploring and enjoy a relaxing meal at one of the city’s charming local restaurants with a relaxing atmosphere.

After lunch, you’ll head to the enchanting Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, the symbol of love, magic, and motherhood. The temple was carefully relocated to Agilkia Island as part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign to protect it from the rising waters after the construction of the High Dam. Its beautiful carvings and mythological scenes make it one of the most captivating temples in Egypt.

Finally, after a day full of discovery, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel or Nile cruise, ending your Aswan City Tour in comfort.
