Then, marvel at the towering Colossi of Memnon, two seated statues of Amenhotep III constructed in 1350 BC and rebuilt during the Greco-Roman period. Standing 18 meters (60 ft) tall, they are inscribed with 107 Roman-era Latin and Greek texts, narrating the golden tales of the mythological King Memnon.
