Created by Pharaoh Khafre (2558–2532 BC), the Sphinx combines the king’s face with the body of a giant lion, guarding the pyramids for thousands of years. Between its paws, you will see the Dream Stele of Thutmose IV (1401 BC), a legendary inscription that tells the story of his dream and divine guidance.

Next, you will visit the Valley Temple, a timeless marvel where ancient Egyptians conducted mummification and performed the sacred ritual of the Opening of the Mouth for the 4th dynasty royalty.

Then, prepare to be amazed at the Grand Egyptian Museum, a monumental space spanning nearly 490,000 square meters, aligned with the majestic pyramids. GEM is a treasure trove of history, blending ancient Egyptian art with modern innovation. It houses one of the largest conservation centers in the Middle East, along with research labs and educational facilities dedicated to preserving Egypt’s legacy. Here, you can admire incredible artifacts such as the Hanging Obelisk, the 11-meter Colossus of Ramses II, and over 5,000 treasures of Tutankhamun.

This majestic citadel stands proudly on the Mediterranean coast where the legendary Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, once stood.

Next, you will visit the Alexandria Library, a modern marvel completed in 2002 to honor the legacy of the ancient city. The library houses an incredible collection of over 8 million books, along with rare manuscripts and artistic treasures spanning the full history of Egypt.

After this, enjoy a luxury lunch at an outstanding restaurant in Alexandria, then continue to explore some of the city’s other historic gems. Pompey’s Pillar is one of the largest monolithic Roman columns in the world, built between 298 and 302 AD to honor Emperor Diocletian. Standing 28 meters tall, it overlooks the eastern corner of the ancient Serapeum of Alexandria.

Finally, visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, an extraordinary underground burial site that perfectly blends Hellenistic and ancient Egyptian art. Built between the 2nd and 4th centuries AD for a single family, the catacombs became one of the seven wonders of the Middle Ages and remain a breathtaking testament to Alexandria’s unique architectural heritage.

Next, marvel at the Unfinished Obelisk, the sleeping giant of Aswan. Commissioned by Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (1508–1458 BC), this colossal obelisk was intended to grace the entrance of the majestic Karnak Temple Complex but cracked during carving. Today it lies in the granite bedrock, serving as an open-air museum and offering an incredible insight into the skills of ancient Egyptian artisans.

Then, continue to the Philae Temple, a stunning tribute to the goddess of Motherhood, Isis. Built during the Ptolemaic period between 380–362 BC, this temple on Agilkia Island tells the myth of Isis, Osiris, and Horus through its beautifully preserved walls and towering reliefs.

One of the temples is aligned for the Annual Sun Festival, which occurs on February 22 and October 22, where sunlight illuminates the statues of the gods Amun, Ptah, and Horus, celebrating Ramses’ birthday and coronation. The second temple honors his beloved wife, Queen Nefertari, and is dedicated to the goddess Hathor, showcasing their divine love.

The temple was primarily dedicated to the Theban triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu, though many other deities were also worshipped here. Marvel at the hypostyle hall, towering pylons, shrines, and the majestic Avenue of Sphinxes—a true masterpiece of ancient Egyptian architecture.

Then explore the Ben Ezra Synagogue, a rare and historic Jewish temple that dates back to 882 AD. The synagogue was built on the site believed to be where Moses was found by the Pharaoh’s daughter and contains exquisite Aramaic, Hebrew, and Judeo-Arabic manuscripts, as well as stunning architectural details.

Afterward, visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), inaugurated in 2020 in Fustat. Home to over 50,000 artifacts, it features the Hall of Mummies, showcasing the history of 28 royal figures and offering an unforgettable journey through Egypt’s 5,000-year-old civilization.
