On Day Two, after enjoying a hearty breakfast at your hotel, you will start your adventure by visiting the world-famous Pyramids of Giza. Your private Egyptologist tour guide will accompany you to explore the great monuments of ancient Egyptian civilization.
First, you will step onto the Spectacular Giza Plateau, a timeless wonder that dates back more than 4,000 years. Here, you will find the three main pyramids, six smaller pyramids, the sole guardian—the Great Sphinx, and the Valley Temple, all standing as a testament to the brilliance and power of Ancient Egypt.
Next, you will marvel at the Impressive Pyramid of Khufu, the Great Pyramid, a wondrous monument of human achievement. Built in 2580 BC, it is more than 4,500 years old and was constructed over 20 years using 2,300,000 limestone blocks. Standing 147 meters (481 ft) tall, it was the tallest man-made structure in the world for nearly 3,800 years, showcasing the golden age of Ancient Egyptian architecture.
You will then gaze upon the Great Sphinx, the eternal guardian of Giza, with the body of a lion and the head of Pharaoh Khafre, symbolizing strength, power, and wisdom. This colossal monument rises 73 meters (240 ft) long and 19 meters (66 ft) high, carved from a single limestone rock, and continues to inspire awe and wonder even today.
Your next stop is the Valley Temple, where the ancient mummification process took place since the Old Kingdom (2686–2181 BC). Made from limestone and granite, this site is among the best-preserved ancient structures in Egypt, housing incredible diorite statues of Pharaoh Khafre.
Then, you will explore the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), a colossal modern marvel spanning 490,000 square meters and aligned perfectly with the pyramids of Giza. The museum is a gateway to 5,000 years of history, blending ancient Egyptian heritage with modern innovation. You will marvel at treasures such as the Hanging Obelisk, the 11-meter colossus of Ramses II, and the complete collection of over 5,000 artifacts from Tutankhamun, all preserved in one of the largest conservation centers in the Middle East.
After this amazing morning, enjoy a delicious lunch at a restaurant with a pyramid view, soaking in the magnificent surroundings.
In the afternoon, your tour continues to the Saqqara Step Pyramid, the monument that started it all. Built by the brilliant architect Imhotep, vizier of Pharaoh Djoser, this six-step pyramid stands 62 meters tall and is surrounded by a unique complex filled with majestic decorations and ceremonial structures, marking the beginning of the golden age of pyramid construction in Ancient Egypt.
Finally, you will then return to your hotel in Cairo overnight.
