Your aerial paragliding adventure begins in the early morning with a private pickup from your hotel in Marsa Alam. You will travel across the Eastern Desert in a private luxury A/C vehicle, arriving in the ancient city of Luxor to meet your private tour guide for an immersive exploration of the world’s greatest open-air museum.
Your first stop is the Valley of the Kings, a "blessed immortal piece of art" hidden deep within the Theban Necropolis. This sacred hill houses 63 royal tombs belonging to the greatest rulers of the New Kingdom (1570–1050 BC), including Ramses II, Seti I, and Tutankhamun. You will descend into these subterranean masterpieces to witness the vibrant funerary art and inscriptions that have earned this site its status as a UNESCO World Heritage treasure.
Next, you will visit the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a stunning architectural project created over 15 years starting in 1479 BC. Carved into the golden limestone cliffs of Deir El Bahari, this "house of Amun-Re" stands as the most magical example of classical ancient Egyptian architecture. Your guide will reveal the heritage of Hatshepsut, one of the most successful and visionary Pharaohs in history.
Before crossing to the East Bank, you will stand before the Colossi of Memnon. These two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III (1386–1349 BC) have endured since 1350 BC. You will explore the mystical decorations depicting the Nile god Hapi and learn about the famous "vocal phenomenon" that drew travelers to these gates during the Greco-Roman period.
Break your journey with a refreshing boat trip on the Nile River. You will sail to a scenic island to enjoy a high-quality lunch, offering a moment of tranquility and breathtaking views of the river that sustained the ancient empire.
Your final destination is the Karnak Temple Complex, the largest religious site in the world. Built over 1,500 years between 2000 BC and 30 BC, this "most selected of places" was the heart of worship for the Theban Triad. You will walk through the Avenue of Sphinxes and the massive Hypostyle Hall, marveling at the colossal pillars and intricate carvings that symbolize the height of Egyptian religious dedication.
Following your exploration of the East Bank, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Marsa Alam in your private vehicle, concluding your incredible journey through the heart of ancient Thebes.
