This celestial site is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and dates back to around 2700 BC, showcasing colossal monuments that reflect the greatness of ancient Egypt.
First, you will visit the magnificent Great Pyramid of King Khufu, built between 2609 BC and 2584 BC. Designed by the architect Hemiunu, it rises to a height of 147 meters and was constructed using approximately 2.3 million limestone blocks weighing around six million tons. Inside the pyramid, you will find remarkable chambers such as the King’s Chamber, the Queen’s Chamber, the Grand Hall, the Big Void, and other hidden architectural features.
Then, continue to the iconic Great Sphinx, a legendary masterpiece symbolizing power and wisdom during the reign of King Chephren (2558–2532 BC). This mythical guardian also features the Dream Stele of Thutmose IV, added in 1401 BC, adding to its historical significance.
Next, explore the impressive Valley Temple, a sacred structure built around 2600 BC, which was used for the mummification process of ancient Egyptian kings and queens before their journey to the afterlife.
After that, proceed to the remarkable Grand Egyptian Museum, a state-of-the-art complex covering nearly 490,000 square meters and aligned with the pyramids of Giza. It serves as a gateway to over 5,000 years of history and houses incredible treasures such as the Hanging Obelisk, the colossal 11-meter statue of Ramses II, and the complete collection of more than 5,000 artifacts of Tutankhamun.
Then, enjoy lunch at a restaurant with a view of the pyramids or the Nile before continuing your visit to the Egyptian Museum, which was established in 1901 in the heart of Cairo. This historic museum showcases one of the most fascinating collections of ancient Egyptian artifacts, highlighting the richness and depth of Egypt’s civilization.
