It served as the center of religious life for over 1500 years and was dedicated to the Theban triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. Built between 2000 BC and 30 BC across 247 acres, the temple is famous for the Avenue of Sphinxes and the grand Hypostyle Hall filled with massive columns and intricate carvings.

Next, you will explore the beautiful Luxor Temple, known as the Southern Sanctuary, built around 1400 BC as a center for royal ceremonies and coronations.
