Your journey begins at the magnificent Giza Plateau, a timeless complex over 4,000 years old. Here, you will discover the three main pyramids, six smaller pyramids, the iconic Great Sphinx, and the Valley Temple, all remarkable monuments that tell the story of Ancient Egyptian civilization.
You will stand in awe before the Great Pyramid of Khufu, one of the oldest and largest structures in the world, dating back to 2580 BC. Constructed over 20 years with 2,300,000 limestone blocks, it reaches a height of 147 meters (481 ft) and was the tallest building on Earth for nearly 3,800 years, marking the golden age of construction in Ancient Egypt.
Nearby, the Great Sphinx guards the plateau with its lion’s body and the head of King Khafre, symbolizing strength and wisdom. Measuring 73 meters (240 ft) in length and 19 meters (66 ft) in height, this colossal statue continues to inspire travelers and artists with its mystery and majesty.
You will also visit the Valley Temple, a site where the extraordinary mummification process of the Old Kingdom (2686–2181 BC) was performed. Made entirely of limestone and granite, the temple houses stunning diorite statues of Chephren and remains one of the best-preserved ancient structures in Egypt.
Next, you will explore the breathtaking Grand Egyptian Museum, a modern architectural marvel spanning nearly 490,000 square meters near the Giza Pyramids. The museum showcases over 5,000 years of Egyptian history, blending ancient heritage with modern innovation through immersive storytelling, advanced architecture, and artistic design. Here, you can marvel at treasures like the Hanging Obelisk, the colossal 11-meter statue of Ramses II, and the complete collection of Tutankhamun’s artifacts.
For lunch, you will enjoy a delicious meal at a restaurant with views of the pyramids, followed by a visit to the Saqqara Step Pyramid. Built by the genius architect Imhotep for Pharaoh Djoser, this six-step pyramid stands 62 meters tall and marks the beginning of the golden age of pyramid construction.
