Next, you will transition to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), a colossal billion-dollar establishment spanning 490,000 square meters. To conclude your day, you will visit the Saqqara Step Pyramid, a one-of-a-kind structure built by the vizier Imhotep for Pharaoh Djoser. You will then ascend to the Salah El-Din Citadel, also known as the "Cairo Citadel." The odyssey moves toward the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) in Fustat. Renovated in 2020, this miracle of a museum offers a comprehensive view of Egypt’s cultural evolution and houses the legendary Royal Mummies Hall, where 28 kings and queens are displayed with the utmost reverence. As evening approaches, you will walk through the celestial Al Muizz Street, which illuminates the golden history of Cairo’s Islamic era dating back to the 10th century AD. This open-air museum is a social heart of the city, filled with ancient constructions and enchanting decorations. Finally, your day concludes at the Khan El Khalili Bazaar, the "Golden Brick Road" of the Middle East. Dating back to 970 AD, this vibrant market is a labyrinth of historic cafes and shops that have remained active for over a millennium, offering a sensory journey through time before you head to the airport for your flight to the tropical paradise of Hurghada.
