The exploration starts at the iconic Hanging Church, famously referred to as the "Suspended Church" because it was ingeniously constructed atop the southern gatehouse of the Roman Babylon Fortress. As you walk through its doors, your guide will point out the impressive timber roof, uniquely crafted in the shape of Noah’s Ark. This architectural masterpiece served as the official residence of the Coptic Patriarch from the 7th through the 13th centuries, remaining a primary symbol of Christian endurance in Egypt.
Next, you will visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue, a site steeped in mystery that dates back to the 9th century. Built within the shell of a 4th-century Christian church, this site holds deep historical significance; it is believed to be the location where the prophet Jeremiah gathered the Jewish community after the fall of Jerusalem. Restored by Abraham Ben Ezra in the 12th century, the synagogue offers a rare window into the secrets and daily lives of the North African Jewish community from the 11th to the 13th centuries.
Following your morning of discovery, we will transfer you to a wonderful local restaurant to enjoy an appetizing lunch meal, allowing you to relax and reflect on the spiritual legacy of the district.
The journey continues to Abu Serga Church, a site of immense historical and religious importance. It is traditionally believed to be built directly over the cave where the Holy Family—Joseph, Mary, and the infant Jesus Christ—rested at the end of their long journey into Egypt. Because of its sacred status, this church was the chosen site for the consecration of many Coptic patriarchs throughout the centuries.
Your final stop is the Virgin Mary Church in Haret Zuweila, the oldest church in that historic district. While some inscriptions suggest a 12th-century consecration, its foundations likely reach back to the 10th century. This venerable site served as the prestigious seat of the Orthodox Pope of Alexandria for over a century, from 1400 AD to 1520 AD, and remains a "Coptic gem" of Cairo's spiritual landscape.

We are offering the minimum down payment of just 10% to secure your spaces on the tour including hotel room, cruise cabin, domestic flight ticket, and other travel services. The remaining balance can be paid up to four days prior to your arrival date or in cash upon arrival at the destination to your Representative.
In case you cancel your trip, the following of charges will be applied: From the date of booking until 61 days before your arrival date, 7% of the tour package price will be charged. Between 60 and 21 days before your arrival date, 20% of the entire tour Package price will be charged. Between 20 and 7 days before your arrival date, 40% of the package tour price will be charged. Between 6 and 1 days before your arrival date, 75% of the tour package price will be applied.
