Itineraries

To start with, once you land at Sokhna Port, our representative will be there awaiting you outside the cruise exit point. He will escort you to the airport and take you on a comfortable drive of around 3 hours to Cairo where your journey starts.

Upon arrival, you will be met by an Egyptologist tour guide who will guide you around some of the most amazing sites in Egypt.

First stop, you will arrive at the legendary Giza Pyramids Complex. This masterpiece was built during the Old Kingdom era between 2686 - 2134 BC as a symbol of immortality for great Egyptian kings. The idea behind building pyramids was to honor kings and provide them with a passage into heaven, thus immortality.

Second, you will explore the majestic Great Pyramid of Khufu, built for King Khufu between 2609 - 2584 BC by his architect Hemiunu and it rises to about 147 meters, weighing almost 6 million tons. It was built from 2.3 million limestone blocks within 20 years by thousands of workers. There are amazing architectural elements inside the pyramid such as King’s Chamber, Queen’s Chamber, Grand Hall, and voids.

Next, you will encounter the Great Sphinx, also called Horus of the Horizon.

It is one of the most legendary guardian sculptures built during the rule of Pharaoh Khafre (2558 BC - 2532 BC). The sculpture was built as a symbol of wisdom, power, and divine authority.

It is believed to have the body of a lion and the face of the king, protecting him. In-between its paws lays the well-known Dream Stele of Pharaoh Thutmose IV (1401 BC).

Fourth, you will visit the grand Valley Temple. This was used for the preparation of royal kings' mummifications during the 4th dynasty. Valley Temple was considered as a passage for the journey of the soul into the afterlife.

Next, you will head to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), a modern architectural masterpiece located in front of the pyramids and covers an area of almost 490,000 sq meters. This world-class museum provides more than 5000 years of history with exhibits such as Hanging Obelisk, the 11-meter statue of Ramses II, and the complete collection of Tutankhamun's treasures. It also has conservation and research centers aimed at preserving Egypt's priceless history.

After that, you’ll savor a delicious lunch at a restaurant overlooking the Pyramids or Nile.

Finally, continue your journey to the oldest museum in Egypt, the Egyptian Museum. Founded in 1901 AD, the Egyptian Museum has some of the largest collections of ancient artifacts dating back more than 4000 years ago. It contains thousands of statues, mummies, and other priceless artifacts reflecting the richness and sophistication of the ancient Egyptian civilization.

Once done with the tour, you will be taken to Sokhna Port via private transport.
